Museum of Science and Industry
The MOSI in the centre of Manchester is one of the most unique wedding venues in the North West of England. I thoroughly enjoyed being a MOSI wedding photographer!
With five listed buildings on site, in the trendy area of Castlefield. It is based on the historic site of the world’s oldest surviving passenger railway station. It houses spectacular exhibits and interactive galleries, your guests will be wowed!
It is possible to have your ceremony in the Station masters house, with drinks afterwards on the platform. Or maybe in the 1880’s warehouse, a perfect atmospheric backdrop. Drinks can be held surrounded by stream trains and machinery at the world famous Power Hall. You can even be transported here on a replica 1830 steam train!
Two areas are available for your evening reception and wedding breakfast, and upto 250 guests can be accommodated! The Garratt Suite is a bright, contemporary space retaining the original features of the 1880’s warehouse building it once was. While the newly opened Revolution Gallery enables guests to dine around fascinating exhibits, a digital sculpture, and an Avro aeroplane!
Check out the video slideshow of Helen and Rich’s winter wedding at the MOSI. If you are getting married at the Museum of Science and Industry, and would like to discuss your big day, please don’t hesitate to contact me for more information on how I can document it 🙂
