Tanner Warehouse Wedding : Sofia + Yitzhak
I love photographing London weddings, there seems to be a real energy and party atmosphere (at least the weddings I’ve been lucky enough to shoot) in the big smoke. When Sofia and Yitzhak got in touch and told me the plan for their Israeli / Mexican Tanner WarehouseHouse wedding I knew how much fun it was going to be.
The wedding was to be late in the day, with my documenting starting at Asia house, with the guests arriving from across the globe. It was lovely to see Sofia and Yitzhak arrive together after their guests. Doing things their own way, this was a recurring theme. The ceremony was beautiful, with just a moments held breath as the rings were exchanged – created in Israel, neither had seen or tried on the rings before the ceremony….. they fit perfectly.
The energetic string quartet started the celebrations in ernest as soon as the I do’s were completed, a super relaxed cocktail hour before guests packed onto the traditional form of London transport and headed to Tanner Warehouse. Sofia and Yitzhak look a little longer to arrive, sneaking away to a local pub for some time alone and a couple of cocktails.
The guys were keen to replicate the party atmosphere of Sofia’s native Mexico. The impressive Los Amigos band provided the perfect soundtrack to the non stop partying at Tanner Warehouse and I’ve not seen so much tequila drank since I donned a poncho and headed to a Mexican themed party in Preston in my younger days. I was impressed at the stamina as the partygoers didn’t stop all night!
Sofia and Yitzhak are a super lovely and relaxed couple, they were constantly concerned everyone was having a amazing time – as you can see, they were!
Some of my favousite images from the day below. For any photographers interested, most of these images were shot with the Leica Q and Leica M10 – a perfect combo!
