In a few weeks, I’m photographing the wedding of Alix and Mark at Stanley House Hotel in Lancashire. If last weekends shoot with them is anything to go by, it will be great fun!

Although Mark and Alix only live around the corner from me in Manchester, we headed to Wales for a pre-wedding shoot. For these sessions, it’s always great to have a location that is special to the couple – last year Mark proposed to Alix at Morfa Nefyn on the beautiful Welsh coast, so when Alix asked if we could venture to Wales I was more than happy to.

Laura and I decided to make the most of the trip by taking a mini break for the weekend, as such Laura was on-hand to assist (and also do a spot of babysitting of Alix and Mark’s beautiful daughter Ava). After an hour of wandering along the coast taking the pre wedding pictures we all headed to the local pub on the beach. A few hours (and drinks later) we’d definitely had a great chance to get to know the bride and groom a bit better before the big day!

I’m looking forward to capturing their day at Stanley House soon…
