Since 2013 I have been running regular wedding photography workshops with 36exp in London. These are ideal for those starting out in the wedding photography business, or looking to move in this direction. Check out their website for more information.
I also offer private 1:1 sessions. This is not a general overview of how I shoot, rather a detailed look at your business, and the areas you wish to improve on.
Street Photography 1:1
Street photography is one of the most difficult genres to master. I’ve been shooting street for the past 5 years and have been lucky enough to visit numerous countries to hone my craft. I believe street photography is as close as you can get to shooting a wedding and improving in this area will have a positive influence on your wedding images. Check out my post on street photography for wedding photography.
Whether you are a wedding photographer or someone looking to just shoot street, my 1:1 sessions combine a small amount of theory, with a large portion of hitting the streets and finding the shots. Shooting together you will learn how I look for images, remain ready for unexpected moments and produce creative images.
Sessions usually take place in Manchester, but other destination requests are welcome!
Workshops can be a great source of learning, but a bespoke day session ensures you stay unique and develop the areas you specifically want to target. Taking place in my Manchester office, these sessions are tailor made for you. Topics we could cover include:
- Portfolio review and improvements
- Selecting your best shots
- Unobtrusive photography
- Dealing with clients
- Improving bookings
- Social media
- Editing + workflow
