Italian Wedding Photography
After nearly 4 weeks in Italy, I’m back in England a married man!
It was quite strange for me to be on the other side of the lens, but I actually enjoyed knowing I could just enjoy the day in the confidence that Giuseppe would be capturing all the action. The really drove home my desire to spend the wedding day with my new wife, friends and family – not just posing for photos!
Laura and I got married in the small town of Palombara Sabina near Rome, at the stunning Medieval Castle “Castello Savelli” – the weather was perfect (although a very dark cloud did make an appearance) and the day was brilliant – indeed the best ever, but like everyone says, as the Bride and Groom, the day goes by too fast!
After the ceremony at the Castle, we all headed back to an outdoor reception at La Tartaruga Sabina, where the most stunning array of food was waiting for us! Italy is all about the food and wine, and it did not disappoint!
After the wedding, our honeymoon took us on a mini tour of Italy, including Sorrento, Capri, Florence, Umbria, Lake Garda and Milan. I’ve not had time to download the pictures from my memory cards yet – but I’ll post some here soon.
Below are some photos taken on our wedding day by our photographer Giuseppe Voci and his second shooter Nico. Big thanks to both as the pictures are absolutely amazing, and really capture the atmosphere of the day for us! I was a little jealeous of a wedding in the Italian countryside and I couldn’t take any photos myself
. So if you are thinking of getting married in Italy, get in touch. But if I’m unavailable Giuseppe is definitely the man to book!
