Last weekend I photographed Andy and Laura’s Rydal Mount Wedding at Rydal Mount House in the Lake District. This historic house was the home of poet William Wordsworth, situated overlooking Rydal Water it’s an amazing setting for a wedding.

I was excited to be photographing my first wedding in the beautiful Lake District, and it didn’t disappoint!

It was a little different from the weddings I usually cover as I was only attending for 3 hours. However as it was a lovely intimate wedding, with only close friends and family, this was plenty of time to capture some great shots.

With the grounds closed to the public, the ceremony took place in the house, with drinks and canapés in the magnificent gardens afterwards – in the sun! Andy and Laura were really relaxed, and even arrived together to greet the guests.

I hope Andy and Laura enjoy looking at these whilst on their honeymoon in Malaysia, Some Rydal Mount Wedding Photos below…

  1. Love your work! So good to see a documentary-styled photographer publishing consistently true journalistic sets of images. Will be back!
