Peckforton Castle Wedding Photography
I’ve been a little busy since Christmas, and as such have only just got around to posting some images from Kelly and Dan’s Wedding at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire on Christmas Eve. Kelly is my cousin so it was great to be asked to take the photos of her wedding – and another of my cousins, Colin Riley was also taking photographs on the day – team Riley!
It was an amazing venue, and very snowy; the ceremony was fairly late in the day so most of the images were shot in darkness, only lit by candle light (my 5d mk II camera and 85mm prime lens got me some great images without flash!).
Peckforton castle has a falconry centre, and during the ceremony the bride and groom arranged for a huge owl to deliver the wedding rings to the bestman – a surprise for everyone. After the ceremony we headed outside to the chapel for a religous blessing, walking though the snow in candlelight!
As usual, most of my images were captured naturally without posing or direction from me. Some of my favourite images below:

Great images – absolutely love that image with the bird. Very cool.
Thanks Kevin – much appreciated coming from you!
